A very beautiful Art Nouveau table lamp with a strong feminine design.
The stem and base have been clearly inspired by a long flowing dress.
Such a beautiful shape and design from this period.
There is a nice patina to the surface of the brass.
Another design feature is the stem of the lamp that has a slight tilt to one side.
The lampshade holder and lampshade are designed to counter act the tilt.
The wicker on the shade is original and in very good condition.
The original linen in the shade was so discolored and porous it had to be changed.
The new linen is a piece of beautiful silk from a vintage kimono.
The lamp has the original ceramic and brass lamp holder with an on/off switch.
It has been rewired with a twisted golden cloth cord and grounded.
Can be fitted with a UK EU or US plug.
This is one of the most attractive lamps we have had in the gallery from this period and also in the right materials.
